Beyond the Classroom

“Your will either step forward into growth, or step backwards into safety.” Abraham Maslow

We believe strongly in the importance of giving our students a wide range of educational experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Extra-curricular activities play an important role in this as they provide the students with opportunities to take part in a variety of sports, clubs, hobbies etc. which allow them to have fun, learn new skills, make new friends and work effectively with others.

We encourage all our students to take part in extra-curricular activities and offer a wide range of options. These include:

Hurling, Soccer, Gaelic Football, Camogie, Athletics, Basketball, Golf, Handball, Rock-Climbing
Junk Kouture, Annual School Musical, Visits to Art Galleries, Museums and Exhibitions, Seachtain na Gaeilge, Modern Foreign Languages Week, Choral Singing
BT Young Scientist, Scifest, Science Week
Young Social Innovators, Green Schools, Amber Flag, Active Schools Flag, Local and National Fundraising Events, Anois Programme
Lunchtime Club, Gaisce, County Enterprise Awards, Law Education in Schools, Build a Bank, Homework Club, CiTV Radio
